Witness Observation

I saw a creature standing on the top of a hill, just outside the tree line from the chest up looking North on I-45 watching the traffic go by. I was heading south and remember seeing a sign for "entering Montgomery County" and another sign that read "Boggy Creek" or "Beaver Creek" not sure which one. As I took my eyes off of the road sign I noticed something standing on the hill up ahead of me about 1000 yards or so. It was standing upright and the sun was shining on it's red/brown hair. I thought at first that it might be a person standing up there, but the hair was so thick and went from the head down to the chest that I realized it probably wasn't a human. I couldn't see the details of the face, but it just stood there watching the traffic as it went by. Unfortunately as I got closer the hill rose up blocking my view because the highway was carved into the hill. On the other side of the hill I tried to look in my rearview mirror to catch another glimpse, but the angles were off and by the time I could see the top of the hill I was way too far away to get any details.

Additional Observations

Saw creature from chest up. It had red/brown hair and was so thick that it obscured the face so I couldn't see any of the detail. The hair moved in the wind and was out of place and odd because of how high it stood in comparison to the trees and also how long it stood upright. I knew that it definitely wasn't natural (tree, shrub, etc...). I also figured that it probably wasn't a bear because there really are no bears in that area and bears don't stand upright for that long.

Time and Conditions

5:00 PM - National Forest.

Investigator's Comments

Jerry Hestand

This investigation was conducted as a result of an incident that allegedly occurred in Montgomery County, Texas, 29 September 2002.

I interviewed the witness on 13 January 2003. He was not sure of the exact area of the sighting, but would look for it the next time he went through there. The witness said that the area was heavily wooded and hilly. There were no homes or businesses nearby. He stated that he saw what he believed was a bigfoot standing at the tree line in a grassy area. He could see a head and shoulders of a "tall man-like figure" with "long, reddish hair that shimmered in the sun." He was sure it was a living creature because "the hair blew in the breeze." The hair covered the face so that no facial features were seen. No other details could be added.
